Only 30 kilometers from Negotin, the gorge of the Vratna River hides an unusual natural phenomenon - three giant rocks known as the Vratnjanska Gates. The Gates represent the largest natural stone bridges in Europe! The high arches of the three Vratnjanska Gates are actually the remains of a former giant cave through which a river flowed thousands of years ago. These stone formations are very rare in the world, and here there are even three of them: Veliki, Suvi and Mali prerast. The Great Gate is 45 meters long, 23 wide and 30 meters deep, while the Small Gate is 5 meters long and more than 30 meters high. |
